DEADNATE is a danish progressive metal band from Aarhus started as teenagers in 2013. Since the beginning the band has consisted of Simon Juul (Lead Vocals & Guitar), Kenneth Kejlstrup (Lead Vocals & Guitar), Ole Frank (Drums) and Frederik Fammé (Bass) and aims to keep their music and attitude honest and raw. 

Their first EP ‘Concrete Flood’ (2018) sparked a lot of interest from both the press and on the Danish metal scene, giving the band a chance to sharpen their skills as a live act. In 2022 their debut album ‘The North Sea’ was released to great critical acclaim with Metal Hammer writing: “DEADNATE manage to pack a mighty punch with a debut album that grabs your attention from the get-go. Showcasing 40 minutes of pulverising metal with all the intensity of a typhoon, The North Sea often leaves you breathless”. 

Now the band is releasing their self-produced sophomore album ‘MOSAIC’ building on all their experiences of the past years, and returning with a more crushing, extreme and personal set of songs. The listener will go on a journey ranging from technical hardcore grooves, to big atmospheric riffs and layered vocals to catchy melodies and progressive beats ensuring a record full of intention you can listen to again and again always discovering something new. 

A vital part of the band’s DNA is their striving for exploration and development both in terms of songwriting and live performances. DEADNATE spends countless hours together in the rehearsal space perfecting their sound and working meticulously on the finer details of their playing. 

With the new album ‘MOSAIC’ the band is set to take it to the next level, and continue to push the boundaries for what’s possible as a DIY artist on the international metal scene.
